Erebus Motorsport and Tyrepower Unite Through Culture and Connection for Darwin Triple Crown

Erebus Motorsport will mark the Darwin Triple Crown with two Indigenous-inspired liveries that tell stories of connection, resilience, and identity — led by a collaboration with Indigenous artist Jedess Hudson.

Car 9: “Power Through Connection”

Jack Le Brocq will carry Tyrepower’s colours this weekend in a livery that reflects the strength found in community and shared experience. Created by Jedess Hudson, the artwork titled Power Through Connection highlights the importance of unity — whether among people, teams, or generations.

Circular meeting places, interconnected pathways and a palette of ochre, red, gold and white bring the design to life. The livery speaks to the energy that flows when stories are shared and relationships are strong.

“This is more than a race car — it’s a story on wheels,” Hudson said. “It reminds us that when we’re connected to our people, our stories, and our Country, we are powerful beyond measure.”

Le Brocq says the message resonates.

“It’s a real honour to carry Tyrepower’s colours this weekend. Their message of ‘Power Through Connection’ really speaks to what we do — in racing, nothing works without trust and connection. Jedess has captured that perfectly. It’s meaningful, and I’m proud to represent it.”

The Tyrepower livery reflects the values Erebus Motorsport and its partners share — respect, collaboration, and connection to people and place.

Car 99: “Fuelled by Fire”

On the other side of the garage, Erebus rookie Cooper Murray will run a livery inspired by fire — a symbol of energy, strength and transformation.

Also designed by Jedess, the artwork features flowing lines of ochre, red, pink and gold, representing movement, heat, and the force that drives the team forward. While black has long been part of Erebus’ identity, this design shifts the focus, incorporating pink in a nod to team owner Betty Klimenko. In Indigenous culture, women are honoured as life-givers and storytellers — a spirit reflected in the design’s colour and form.

“This livery represents everything that fuels us — energy, transformation, and the spark that keeps you pushing forward,” said Murray. “Jedess’s artwork brings meaning to the car, and I’m proud to carry that story on track.”

About the Artist

Jedess Hudson is a proud descendant of the Ewamian and Western Yalanji people of North Queensland, and an accomplished creative whose work reflects a deep connection to Country. Her art is inspired by the land, seasons, bush tucker, flora, and fauna of her traditional homelands.

Known for her powerful storytelling through visual art, Jedess has brought Indigenous culture to motorsport through her work with Brad Jones Racing (2022), Tickford Racing (2023), and now Erebus Motorsport (2024). Her designs continue to celebrate and elevate First Nations identity on national platforms.

Both liveries reflect Erebus Motorsport’s ongoing commitment to developing the next generation — not just of drivers, but across all roles in motorsport — and creating opportunities that carry meaning beyond the track.
